My Last Post

This will probably be my last post, considering that I have discovered the DLP protocol. I beasted at the international science fair and am pretty sick of this project. All of the project files will be available at http://lpahome.com/DLP/ including boards designs and decently well commented source code.

Now I have two new projects:
LRHAA: Long Range High Altitude Aircraft
My Super N64 Controller: This one has a blog at http://sn64.blogspot.com/

DAD1000 Serial Hacked

I now understand the serial protocol the DAD1000 uses to get configured. It is 500khz clocked serial. You bring SCPEN low then clock out 2 bytes, the first being the address and the second being the data. ADDRESS="0X00AAAA" X is 1 for write and 0 for read. AAAA is the address. I know 0000 is for the +26 line. To enable and set to full power, send
0X00.AAAA.0000.DDDD
0100.0010.0000.0110
0100.0001.0000.0111
0100.0011.0000.0111
0100.0000.0000.0110

MEGABoard comes Tomorrow

MEGABoard is my name for the board with everything, a xilinx, 1Gbit of Ram, reset driver, and DMD. I got Hong Kong DAD1000's and built a reflow oven for the Xilinx BGA.

I'm Back

I have been sick and unable to work, but I'm back. I decided the prototype would probably never work, impedance issues and crap. So I'm designing the final ISEF board now. I got two more projectors and discovered the DLP sockets are a standard foxconn part. Cool. The new board should be everything I ever dreamed of(eyes glazed over).

SVGA

I worked today on pinoutting the SVGA DMD. According to projector central the Proxima UltraLight DS1 Projector uses a 1.3" DMD. I don't believe it. It looks more like .8" I will upload pinouts once they are done. I discovered the SR16C is a component of the DAD1000. I need the SR16C pinouts.
